Come meet the lambs: Shimmer, Shine, Salt Shaker, Thirteen, Bullwinkle, Hugs, Kisses, Orphan Andy, Annie, Midnight, Popeye, Olive Oil, Iodine, Simon, Alvin, and Theodore. (And there is still one ewe who might be pregnant!) The barn is bustling with activity as the new lambs test out their new bouncing, butting, and climbing skills.
We tapped the first trees today on the farm. The sound of plink, plunk, plink was heard as sap slowly dripped into the buckets! Other taps had frozen icicles hanging from the spiles and the weather is looking good for the coming weekend...
Please come by the farm to meet the new lambs or swing by the sugar house if you see steam coming out!

I can't believe I didn't know about this! How wonderful to see how the farm is progressing, understand what it takes to get things done, and learn more about nature, farming, sugaring, logging, etc. I think this is a great way to learn those stories Peter has in his noggin (although would he ever blog?!). Please do more, show more, tell more.... You need a Booty Family Farm Facebook Fan page... :)
